Advanced Financial Management problems
The aim of this unit of study is to broaden the theoretical and analytical skills of students with respect to the funding and investment decisions made by senior finance executives.
Learning Objectives
1. Collect, interpret and analyse financial data relating to a number of key concepts regarding fund raising and capital
structure in a variety of business contexts and their impact in different international financing scenarios
2. Compare, contrast and evaluate merger proposals, lease and project financing proposals especially in an
international financial management setting
3. Articulate a clear understanding of the ethical issues relevant to the financial management of a business
Teaching methods
Teaching sessions delivered in 3 hour evening sessions or 5 hour blocks. Total student workload is 120 hours.
